Aldena Pearl "Corky" Bender, 88, passed away on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born August 11, 1928 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Howard N. Siler and Pearl Lynch Siler.

She attended Rosemount Brethern Church.

She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Anderson and husband James of Thornton, Colorado and Rebecca Levorson and husband Mitch of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, James Anderson and wife Molly, Jason Anderson, and Sara Wasson and husband Taylor; one great-grandchild, Leah Anderson; two sisters, Doris Anderson of Winchester, Virginia and Edna Unger of Inwood; sister-in-law, Norma Jean Siler of Shepherdstown.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence T. Bender; one sister, Patsy Martin; two brothers, Joe Siler and Donald Siler and wife, Irene.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on August 5, 2017 at 11:30 am at The Holiday Inn in Martinsburg.

Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
