Ricky Neal Lockett, 61, of Martinsburg, WV passed away Wednesday October 3, 2018 at Inova Fairfax Hospital in Fairfax VA.
Ricky was born on May 18, 1957 in Martinsburg, WV. He was the son of the late Willie Joseph Lockett Sr. and Catherine Fannie McDowell Lockett.
He retired from Jefferson County Department of Highways in 2016 after 26 ½ years of service. Ricky was an active member of the Alumni Association at Jefferson High School. He was also a devoted member of Greater Good News Church of God in Christ for over 30 years in Chambersburg, PA.
Ricky was survived by his wife Dawn L. Lockett; two brothers, Rev. Tyrone Lockett and wife Renae Lockett, Larry A. Lockett, both of Martinsburg WV; two sisters Sarah R. Davis of Buffalo, NY and Eddie Mae Lockett (Tinsie) of Martinsburg, WV. He also leaves behind a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Joseph Lockett Sr. and Catherine Fannie McDowell Lockett; one brother Willie Joseph Lockett Jr.
Family will receive friends Friday, October 12, 2018 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the South Berkeley Chapel, with Pastor John Green officiating.
Interment will be in Mount Hope Cemetery.
