Condolence: My sincere condolences on Miss Roberts’ passing. She was an excellent teacher and a very kind lady. When I had her for Senior English in 1970-71, she was always very understanding and patient. I’m sure heaven welcomed her with open arms.

Condolence: I am so sorry to hear of Miss Roberts passing. She was one of my Mother's best friends both in and out of Musselman High School. She was my teacher for a couple of classes and a wonderful person. Mom was Annabelle Orr and they bonded immediately on meeting. In truth, I was nervous in her class. That is only because she was tough but very fair. Later in life I had the same complement from a highly respected head of Capital Hill Hospital who said "'I miss George, He was tough but fair". I loved getting that complement. Mom had the same said of her. She and Miss Roberts were best friends for as long as I can remember. Miss Roberts attended my Mom's Funeral and I was so grateful to see and talk to her. She was an important part of my Mom's and my life and I shall always remember her with fondness. George Pitzer

It is with great sadness that I read the news about Mae…she was such a wonderful person and funny too! The Clemons family has been friends with Mae and the Roberts family for a very long time not only was she a dear friend but more like one of our family. Mother always enjoyed Mae calling her and thinking of her on special occasions with cards. I’m sorry that I won’t be able to attend the funeral but all of you will be in my thoughts and prayers.
