Charles E. Snyder, 77, of Big Pool MD, went to meet the Lord on Saturday, September 14, 2018, at Doey's House in Hagerstown, surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 15, 1940 in Baltimore, MD to Sylvia and James Snyder of Baltimore, MD.

He retired from Bethlehem Steel, and served his country in the Navy. He enjoyed listening to old time radio shows playing online poker with friends from all over the world, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Snyder, his children; daughter Jeannette King of Big Pool; son John King and daughter-in-law Evangeline King of Long Island, NY; daughter-in-law Gioia Snyder of Carlisle, PA; son Matthew Snyder of Miami, FL; and son Mark Snyder of Hanover, PA; 8 grandchildren, Alicia, Jasmine, Cody, John, Benjamin, Lisa, Terry, and Sierra.

He was preceded in death by his son Michael Snyder; and his parents Sylvia and James Snyder.

A funeral service will be held at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W King St, Martinsburg, WV 25401 on Thursday September 20, 2018 at 10am. Family will receive visitors at Brown Funeral Home September 19 from 6-8 pm and September 20 from 9-10 am.

Burial will be at 2pm September 20 at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens in Baltimore, MD. He will be laid to rest with his parents and his son Michael.

The family would like to thank Doey's House for their compassionate treatment of Charles and his family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Doey's House Hospice Facility in Hagerstown, MD.
