Mary Elizabeth Brooks, 93 of Bunker Hill passed away Monday, September 10, 2018.
Mary was born on October 6, 1924 in Washington, PA and was the daughter of the late Robert Jackson McBride and Helen Boyer McBride.
She is survived by one daughter, Donna L. Allen; two grandchildren; John W. Allen and friend April and Scott Allen and wife Pamela; three great-grandchildren Megan Moore and husband Tim, Robert Allen and friend Courtney and McKenzie Allen and friend Ricky; three great-great grandchildren; William, Wesley and Cam Moore.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 ½ years William “Bill” Burton Brooks who passed away August 22, 2012. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by 8 siblings and one son-in-law, John.
Services will be held on Thursday, September 13, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Rev. Derick Amsler and Rev. Danny Breidenbaugh. Interment will be at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wounded Warriors Project at Operations First Response 20037 Dove Hill Rd, Culpeper, VA 22701.
