Bonnie Kay Burkhart, 66, of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday, September 7, 2018 at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born February 21, 1952, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Max E. Foltz and Wanda M. Shade Foltz and James French.

Bonnie retired from Berkeley County Board of Education.

She is survived by her husband, Richard K. Burkhart; one daughter, Tammy R. Mason and husband, Charles Donnie Mason; one son, Richard “Dickie” Long and wife, Michelle Long ; two grandsons, Jacob and Conner Long; two step daughters, Alicia Lovett and Sierra Burkhart; three step grandsons, Lucas, Justin, and Dalton Mason; two great step grandchildren, Cassidy Tapp and Nathan Turner; several aunts and uncles.

Family will receive friends on Monday, September 10, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Homes’ South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, September11, 2018 at the chapel with Pastor Jack Rudy officiating.

Interment will be private.
