Julia Jenkins Johnson Burrell, 78, of Martinsburg went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 3, 2018 at her home supported by her family.

Mrs. Burrell was born January 11, 1940 at Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg. She was the daughter of the late Houston Nathanial Johnson and Grace Adeline Strother Johnson.

Mrs. Burrell was a nurse and worked at City Hospital and VA Medical Center. She was a regular parishioner of St. Stephens City of Hope Church. She was truly loved by her family and will be sincerely missed. She was a loving mother and grandmother preceded in death by her husband Tyrone Burrell in whom she found love for 50 years of marriage. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Victoria Jenkins.

She is survived by one sister, Virginia Banks; three brothers, James Johnson, Cornell Johnson, and Stephen Johnson; four sons, Robert Jenkins, Randolph Burrell, Kevin Jenkins, and Anthony Burrell; three daughters, Joyce Jenkins, Tanya Green, and Yvonne Jenkins; she was blessed with 28 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 God children; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Homegoing service will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at 12:00 Noon at the Brown Funeral Home with Bishop Conway officiating. Family will receive friends from 11:00AM to 12:00 Noon prior to the service on Saturday.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
