Obituary for Bozy Behzad Bahary

Bozy Bahary, beloved husband, brother, uncle and “friend of man and beast”, died at home on Friday, August 31, 2018, in Harpers Ferry, WV. The world has lost a most endearing and interesting man. He loved art. He loved creation and it served as a window to his soul. He loved gardening and birds. He always had a “new project” in mind and could not be deterred from accomplishing it. He was the kindest soul who drew you in with his charm.

Bozy was born in Tehran, Iran, on January 29, 1948.He was the son of the late Moses Bahary and Ghamare Ol Moluk. He was schooled in England, France and the United States. He moved to New York City in 1969, “when the Mets were playing in the World Series.”

Bozy was an accomplished artist. He attended the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, France.

His most recent works include “The Chain” housed at the Mad Monks Coffee Shop in Charles Town, WV, and “Pick Up Sticks” in front of the Charles Town Library.

His life of work served only to pay bills. His passion was loving his wife, and bringing her joy. He retired at 62 to be able to join her in her retirement.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Karen Koprince; his sister Bonnie Bahary of Las Vegas, NV; his brother Bernard Bahary of Panama; and his niece, Bianca Bahary of New York, New York, and numerous in-laws and cousins.
