Obituary for Benjamin Jesse Morgan

Benjamin Jesse Morgan, 94, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Monday, August 13, 2018.

Born May 6, 1924 in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Benjamin P. and Mabel Lee (Holliday) Morgan.

He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving in the European Theatre from 1943 to 1945 during World War II. He was recipient of the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, European African Middle Eastern Theater Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.

He was a member of the Herman Baptist Church in Sarton, WV.

He is survived by one son, Terry Lee Morgan and wife Debra of Martinsburg; one daughter, Robin Lynn Morgan of Inwood; two grandchildren, Beth Anne Pancione and husband Caleb and TJ Morgan and wife Lincoln.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna R. Morgan; his siblings; Asa J. Morgan, Connie C. Lawhorn, Ollie M. Kirby, Loma L. Baker, Clarence G. Morgan, Lucille V. Morgan, Stella J. Kirby, Clara S. Morgan and Flora J. Morgan

Family will receive friends on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel.

Services will be held on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the chapel with Pastor Jeremy Miller officiating. Interment will be in Arden United Methodist Cemetery.
