Obituary for Marcantonio Caponi
Marcantonio Caponi, 91, of Leesburg, VA (formerly of Martinsburg) passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018.
Born January 30, 1927 in Italy, he was the son of the late Eligio Caponi and Maria Piccolomini Caponi.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Sons of Italy, and Knights of Columbus.
He was a veteran of the Italian Infantry/Army and later retired from General Motors.
He is survived by his son, Dr. Vincent P. Caponi and wife, Dawn, of Leesburg, VA; four grandchildren, Trevor Caponi, Andrew Cresegiona, Kelli Caponi Cromwell and husband Darius, and Ryan Caponi; two great-grandchildren, Cameron Cromwell and Caleb Cromwell; and one sister, Wanda C. Petrucci.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Catherine Bigiarelli Caponi; and a brother, Orazio Caponi.
Services and interment prayers were private at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
