Obituary for Robert Irvin Lindsey, Jr.

Robert Irvin Lindsey, Jr. 71 of Ranson passed away Friday, July 13, 2018 at his home. Born April 19, 1947 in Charles Town, he was the son of the late Robert Irvin Lindsey and Genevieve Bailey Hosby and husband James. He was a groom at the Charles Town Race Track, loved grandkids, watching wrestling and old western movies. He was an avid Cowboys fan. Robert is survived by his wife of 38 years, Verdeana Ann Walker Lindsey, three daughters, Kisha Blackwood of Callao, Virginia, Robin Lindsey and Monica Lindsey and companion Willie Langston, Sr., all of Ranson ,three brothers, Kelvin Hosby and wife Dawn and Glenn Hosby all of Virginia and Carl Stanton of Washington, DC, sister, Carla Hosby and companion James Tolson of Maryland, brother and sister in laws; Derrick Edwards and wife Crystal, David Edwards and wife Allison, Allen Edwards, Henry Edwards and wife Beth and Donna Faye and husband James Jones, grandchildren; Arianna, Taliyah, Tristan, Tianna, Willie, Jr. and Janiyah and nephew Demiah Edwards. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brother, Cornell Lindsey and sister, Victoria French. Funeral services will be held 12 p.m. Thursday, July 19, 2018 at the House of Prayer #4 with the Pastor Paul E. Brown officiating. Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends 11 a.m., one hour prior to service at the church.
