Obituary for Madilyn Agnes Copenhaver

Madilyn Agnes Copenhaver passed away in her mother’s arms on July 5, 2018. Madilyn was the youngest of five children. She fought very hard for 7 days at Children’s Hospital in DC. Madilyn saved the lives of two people by donating her organs. Madilyn is survived by her parents, Benjamin and Chrystal Copenhaver; three sisters, Emmalyn, Kaelyn, and Brielyn; a brother, Nolan; maternal grandmother, Terrie Klein; paternal grandparents, Donald and Carol Copenhaver; paternal great-grandmother Marie Copenhaver; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Madilyn was preceded in death by her great-grandmother Agnes Klein.

Madilyn was full of life and enjoyed wearing bright colors, so instead of wearing black the family requests that you wear something colorful so we can celebrate her life.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Thomas Gallagher officiating. Interment will be in Hedgesville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Brown Funeral Home in Madilyn's name.
