Obituary for Ruth Irene Palmer (Flora)
Ruth Irene Palmer, 98, of Greencastle, PA. formerly of Falling Waters, WV, passed away on Monday, July 2, 2018 at her home.
Born June 30, 1920 in Cumberland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary Flora Fleckenstein.
She was employed at the dietary and nutrition department of Washington County Hospital in Maryland.
She is survived by two sons, William Kesler of Falling Waters and Wayne Palmer of Greencastle, PA; three grandchildren; Megan Alair Lewis, Billy Kesler and Quinn Nicole Hutchinson; six great-grandchildren; Kingston Lewis, Knight Lewis, Aiden Hutchinson, Vanden Hutchinson, Will Kesler and Carrisa Wiedel; one great great granddaughter Charlotte Wiedel.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Enos Palmer; one brother; Fred Fleckenstein and three sisters; Pauline Barnhart, Bertha Bowman and Evelyn Rooney.
A memorial service will take place on Friday, July 13, 2018 at10:00 a.m.at Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Terri Cofiell officiating. Interment will be at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown, MD.
