Delbert Loring “Junior” Evans, 79, of Martinsburg, WV went home to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 3, 2018.

Delbert was born on June 2, 1939 in Martinsburg, WV and was raised by his grandmother Sadie Stuckey and Aunt Pearl Santmier.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a member of the Moose Lodge 120, Glass Workers Union, NRA, Jr Order of Auto Mechanics and CEO of Evans Knobe Hunting Camp.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sylvia Eversole Evans; their children; Dr. Randolph Evans and Karen Evans, Todd Loring Evans and Laura L. Evans, Belinda Evans-Thompson and Kenneth Thompson, Teresa Evans-Johnson and Lyndon B. Johnson, Jeffery C. Evans and Kendra L. Evans; grandchildren; Charles L. Evans, Jacob R. Evans, Emily A. Johnson, Samantha M. Evans, Jaclyn E. Evans and Sebastian Drake Evans; one great-granddaughter; Norah M. Evans and one brother Larry Evans.

He was preceded in death by one brother Gary Gregory and sisters Sandy Green and Madeline Riner.

Services will be held on Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Dan Dugan officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of the Panhandle at 330 Hospice Way, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
