Obituary for Elsie Arvella Shade (Nevel)

Elsie Arvella Shade, 90, of Hedgesville, WV passed away at her home on Monday, July 2, 2018.

Elsie was born on May 2, 1928 in Morgan County, WV and was the daughter of the late James Nevel and Mina Castle Nevel.

She is survived by one daughter Sherry Shade Rankin and husband Richard; two granddaughters Kelli Rankin Minnick and Tonia Rankin; two great grandchildren; Hunter Minnick and Darian Rankin; two nieces; Jane Sites and Debra Murphy; one nephew Bill Fox and two special caregivers Linda Shuyler and Nicole Ash.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Tevis “Ike” Shade; one brother Alfred Nevel and one sister Rosetta Fox.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home.

Services will be held on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM at Snyders Church with Pastor Donald Dick officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Snyders Church Cemetery.
