Anthony Wayne "Wayne"  Gales


Anthony “Wayne” Gales, 63, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018.
Wayne was born on December 17, 1954, in Charles Town, WV, and the son of the late Arthur Gales and Jean Harris Brown.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the Elks IBPOEW Pride of Berkeley #402, and a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Shepherdstown, WV. He was employed at the VA Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV.
He is survived by three daughters, Amy Barger and husband Bryon, Emily Gales, and Abby Lardy and husband Jerome; four grandchildren, Ty, Luke, Logan, and Jaylen; two brothers, Chuck Dotson and Arturo Gales; three sisters, Joyce Gibson, Angela Johnson and husband Ron, and Kim Hunter and husband Dale; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael Dotson and George Johnson; and his grandmother, Ella Harris.
At church, he was a member of the Mighty Men of God choir as a vocalist and guitarist. He was also a member of the Multimedia Team, Staff Parish Relations Committee and Expansion Project team. He had a genuine love of life and so enjoyed his family, music, church, and his work. He was loved by many and will be missed by many.
Service will be held on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11:00AM at Asbury United Methodist Church, Shepherdstown with Rev. Dr. Rudolph Bropleh officiating.
