The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sylvia Murphy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: It was my privilege to visit with Sylvia through Hospice. She was a gracious lady and I enjoyed the opportunity to hear about her life. I will miss our weekly chats. I know that her family will feel her loss but she expressed many times her readiness to be with her Lord.

Condolence: Sylvia and her husband Fred were friends of my parents, Joe and Marie Burkhart, for many years. Sylvia worked with my dad at the former Martin Marietta cement plant. I remember Sylvia as a very attractive, friendly lady who kept her friendship with my dad after the death of her husband and my mother until dementia took its toll on my dad years before his death. I thank God he reached out to Sylvia for a friendship of shared memories. May God bless Sylvia's family at this difficult time!
