Obituary for Gary Nelson Parsons
Gary Nelson Parsons, 68, of Martinsburg, passed away on Friday, June 1, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born June 1, 1950, in Berkeley County, WV, he was the son of the late George William Parsons and Martha Elizabeth Miller Parsons.
He retired from the Department of Highways with 29 years of service as an equipment operator.
Gary enjoyed hunting, NASCAR, and playing cards at the cabin.
He is survived by his wife Belinda Crawford Parsons; one son, Kevin Parsons; one daughter, Brandi Miller and husband Tyler; five brothers, Trammell “WT” Parsons, Calvin Parsons, Dale Parsons, Sherman Parsons, and Darrell Parsons; one sister, Reva Butts; one grandchild, Liam Miller; and all of his friends at the cabin.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death one brother, Ray Parsons, and two sisters, Eva Lee Kees and Vesta Edwards.
Family will receive friends on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at the chapel with David Davis officiating. Interment will be held in Central Chapel Cemetery.
