Marvin Leo "Pete"  Snow
Marvin “Pete” Leo Snow, 85, of Martinsburg passed away on Thursday, May 24, 2018 at the VA Medical Center.

Born May 28, 1932 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late George W. Snow and Clara Ann Morris Snow.

He was a member of Gerrardstown United Methodist Church.

Pete was a veteran of the US Army having served in the Korean War and was the recipient of the Purple Heart, Silver Star, and Bronze Star. He was a member of the Martinsburg Elks and VFW and the Eagles in New Market, VA.

He loved to play golf at the Shenvalle Golf Course in Virginia.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Betty Jean Grove Snow; one daughter, Debbie Hensell and husband Walt who Pete considered like a son; close family members Ron Snow and wife Lynn; one grandson, Jason Hensell; two half brothers, George and Greg Snow; one half sister, Peggy Stickels; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by three brothers, George, Elwood, and Raymond; one sister, Anna Mason; and one half sister, Georgia Parker.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00AM at the South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Pastor Gary Sieglein officiating, assisted by Pastor Dave Palmer. Military graveside service will be held in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
