Obituary for Ella Mae Stirman

Ella Mae Stirman,83, of Martinsburg, WV went to be with the Lord Friday, May 18, 2018 at Homewood Nursing Home.
Born June 28, 1934 in Roanoke, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late George Herbert Cadd and Eva Arthur Cadd.
She graduated from New Orleans Seminary with her Masters in Religious Education. Ella was a teacher and assistant principal at Fresta Valley Christian School in Marshall, VA and went on to teach and retire from Faith Christian Academy. She was a member of the First Baptist Church where she shared her knowledge as a Bible scholar through ladies Bible studies and support groups.
She is survived by her son, Ray J. Stirman of Martinsburg and her daughter, Becky V. Wiggins of Martinsburg. Ella was a cherished member of her family and is survived by her brother, Rev. Malcolm Cadd (Sue) of Martinsburg; her sisters, Louise Woolfolk of Vinton, Virginia, and Shirley Fortune of Kernersville, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Joseph Scobee Stirman; three sisters, Nancy Pearson and Reva Byrd, and Ruth Walton.
Family will receive friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
Services will be on Tuesday at 1:00PM at the funeral home with Pastor Bryan Dugger officiating. Interment will be in Green Hill Cemetery at a later date.
