Eugene Louis "Gene"  Ward
Eugene (Gene) Ward, of Martinsburg formerly of Baltimore, passed away peacefully. Gene went to be with his Lord on May 11, 2018 after a long battle of cancer. He was very devoted to his beloved fiancé Lucy M. Magruder of 18 years. Everyone that knew him knew he was a great man. He leaves behind his two baby chihuahuas; Toodles and Lilly that he loved so much. He served in the US Army four years.

Born September 16, 1934 he was the son of the late John Ward and Mary E. Fravel Ward of Baltimore, MD.

He retired from the Steamship Trade Association and International Longshoremen’s Association. He attended New Life Community Church.

He was preceded in death by one sister Colleen Connard of Arizona and one brother John Ward, Jr who passed away in 2009.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Home from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.

Services will be held Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at 1:00PM at South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Reverend Jim Goforth officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Garden.
