Obituary for Gerald Michael "Jerry" Paugh

Gerald Michael "Jerry" Paugh
Gerald Michael Paugh (Jerry), 56, of Martinsburg, passed away Monday, April 16, 2018, following a short illness.
He was born March 4, 1962, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to George and Patricia Quigley Paugh.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Sandra Hudson-Paugh, of Martinsburg, with whom he shared 16 wonderful years. He also leaves behind his loving children, Tiffany (John) Miller, and Misty (Justin) Kanyuch, both of Ohio, Hannah Tsetsakis, of North Dakota, Michael Paugh, of Colorado, Donald Monroe (Melissa), of Martinsburg, April Marie (Michael) Keoughan, of Texas, and Henry Neal, of Martinsburg; along with seven treasured grandchildren. He is also survived by his adoring parents, George and Patricia Paugh, of Benwood; his caring siblings, George Paugh, of North Carolina, Jeff (Vicki) Paugh, of Wheeling, John (Michelle) Paugh, of McMechen, and Marcel (Shane) Christman, of Benwood; and many nieces and nephews.

Jerry traveled the world during his childhood, the son of a Navy sailor. He shared fond memories of exploring caves with his siblings in Guam, fishing the beautiful streams in Scotland, and spending time outdoors in Germany. He lived in many amazing places, but Benwood, was always home. After graduating from John Marshal High School, he began his career in the Air Force and started his family. He and his wife, Sandy, went on to live in Martinsburg, where he used his skills as a forklift operator. In addition, he worked at Quad Graphics as a saddle stitch operator. He frequently visited Benwood to care for his parents, always a doting son. In his free time, Jerry loved to go fishing on his boat. He captured pictures of his favorite fishing spots all over West Virginia. He also enjoyed spending time at North Carolina beaches, relaxing and fishing from the shore. He loved his family unconditionally, gave selflessly, and found humor in life. Jerry will be greatly missed.

The visitation for family and friends will be from 4 to 6 p.m. April 20, 2018, at Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.
