Life Story for Wanda Mae Markley (Largent)

Wanda Mae Markley, 74, of Hedgesville passed away on Monday, March 12, 2018 at Rose Hill in Berryville, VA.

Born on November 28, 1943 in Berkeley County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey Samuel Largent and Lucy Virginia VanMeter Largent.

She was a homemaker and cook with Berkeley County Schools. She attended Tomahawk Christian Church.

She is survived by her husband, Robert Leon Markley; one daughter Maxine M. Ashton and husband Kevin of Martinsburg; three sons, Roger L. Markley and wife Donna of Martinsburg, John W. Markley and wife Barbara of Hedgesville, Rodney L. Markley and wife Cathy of Chester, Maryland; twelve grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, Dewey Largent of Bunker Hill; three sisters, Wilma Orr of Martinsburg, Juanita Domer of Tomahawk, and Robin Domer of Martinsburg.

She was preceded in death by a brother, John Largent; and two sisters, Katie Zombro and Martha Largent.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 2:00PM at the Tomahawk Christian Church with Pastor Christian Jorgensen officiating, assisted by Pastor Donald Dick. Interment will be in Tomahawk Christian Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Tomahawk Christian Church, 12896 Back Creek Valley Road, Hedgesville, WV 25427.
