Thomas”Tommy” Henry Gaskins, 67 of Ranson passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Jefferson Medical Center. Born September 23, 1950 in Ranson, he was the son of the late Roger Lee Gaskins and Katherine F. Williams Gaskins. Tommy served in the U S Army. He was a custodian for Jefferson Medical Center and prior to the hospital, had worked in construction for more than 22 years.
He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Constance “Connie” Brown Gaskins; son, Shane Gaskins, step son; Lamont Butler, daughters Shanda Gaskins and Annessa Gaskins-Spearmon, brothers, Eddie, Wayne and Jeffery Gaskins, grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Carter Gaskins and sisters Barbara Spencer and Joan Gaskins.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home with the Bishop Sterling Porter officiating. Interment with graveside military honors will be in the Culpeper National Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
