Leo  Bradley "Buddy "  Hedges
Leo Bradley (Buddy) Hedges, 85, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Berkeley Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 21, 1932 in Jones Spring, he was the son of the late Charme Butts Hedges and Joseph P. Hedges.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and was employed at North Mountain Brickyard, retired from Corning Glass, and was a member of Butler’s Chapel Church.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Darlene Hedges; daughters Pam Van Meter (Jim), Kathy Grove (Tim), Joni Murphy (Dave), and son Ronnie Bartgis (Robin); brother Tommy Hedges; sisters Nadine Walden, Darlene Brindle, Arlene Blair, Vickie Dunham, and Beverly Payne; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a sister Doris Butts and an infant brother Donald.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Forest Cummings officiating.

Military graveside will be held in Butler’s Chapel Cemetery.
