Goldie Mae Cook McKeever, 94, passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born October 4, 1923, in Ft. Ashby, WV, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Ida Kesner Phares.

She is survived by her sons, Fred H. Cook, Jr., Allen Jackson Cook, and Ronald Cook; daughters, Betty Taylor, Carol Doman, Bonita Hutzler, Sandra McCormick, Minnie Jenkins, Darlene Galbus, and Constance Huyett; grandson, Brett Milburn whom she raised; and 115 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Fred H. Cook, Sr.; sons, Clyde Robert Cook and Dale Cook; two daughters, Nancy Renner and Velma Michaels; grandsons, Jared Doman, Kevin Taylor, and Dallas Cook; and two granddaughters, Crystal Cook and Tamara Galbus.

She was the last of her immediate family and was preceded in death by brothers, Ernest, John, and Sonny Phares; and sisters, Dorothy VanPelt and Ruth Phares.

Funeral service will be held on Monday, March 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Donald Dick officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
