Obituary for Mary Frances Carr (Carr)

Mary Frances Carr, 83 of Charles Town passed away Sunday, February 25, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family. Born November 17, 1934 in Charles Town she was the daughter of the late Charles Brown and Bessie Elizabeth Haley Carr. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She worked as a care giver for JCCOA. Mary loved her family and ministering to people about Jehovah.

She is survived by sons, Kenneth Carr of Groveland, Florida and William Lindsey and wife Felita of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, daughters, Donna Kammerdiener and husband Fred of Charles Town, Jewell Walker of Leesburg, Florida, Nora Stafford and husband Curtis of Lady Lake, Florida, Debra Smith and husband Matthew of Ranson, Sandra Carr of Charles Town, Paulette Walls and husband Sam of Kearneysville, Kimberly Walker and husband Harry of Charles Town and Kesha Randall and husband Kent of Inwood, brother, James Carr of Baltimore, Maryland, sisters, Julia Walker and husband Charles of Hagerstown, Maryland, Lucille Morrelle of Leesburg, Florida, Ann Domingo Smitherman of Yonkers, New York, Linda Baker and husband Roy “Popeye” of Baltimore, Maryland, 20 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 4 great great, numerous nieces and nephews, caretaker, Laverne Wainwright. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her step father, James Carr, son, Alfred Eugene Carr, brothers, Raymond, William and Robert Carr and sisters, Billie Faustine, Ella Smith, Rosie Cheesebourgh, Arbutus Carr and Ramona Jones.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, March 3, 2018 at the Brown Funeral Homes South Berkeley Chapel with the Brother Jim Vollmerhausen officiating. Interment will be in the Wall’s Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. Friday at the South Berkeley Chapel.
