Donald  Shirley  Riggs
Donald Shirley Riggs, 83 of Martinsburg, went to be with his Lord, Saturday, February 24, 2018, at Grenich Care Home in Bunker Hill.

Born July 14, 1934 in Swinging Bridge, he was the son of the late Donald W. and Marie H. Riggs.

He was a 1952 graduate of Hedgesville High School. He was an ASE Certified Master Auto Technician. He was the service manager at Jim Seibert Buick in Martinsburg and retired from the Sharrett Mazda in Hagerstown in July 1996.

Donald was a 25-year member of St. Luke’s United Methodist Church and was involved in the church choir. He was born with the love of music and had a beautiful singing voice. He was also a founding member of the Martinsburg Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Charlene B. Miller Riggs; two daughters Debi Riggs Saunders Morton and husband, Scott and Lisa Riggs Miller and husband, Vance; two sons, John Riggs and wife, Laura and Terry Riggs; six grandchildren, Ben, Holly, Marli, Hunter, Courtni and Carrie; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Tristin; and one brother Larry Dale Riggs and one sister, Mona Jean DeHaven.

He is preceded in death by one son-in-law, Richard L. Saunders and one granddaughter, Staci Lauryn Riggs.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Martinsburg Church of Christ at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Butler officiating.

Interment will be held in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made in Donald’s name to the Martinsburg Church of Christ’s Building Fund 9512 Tuscarora Pike, Martinsburg, WV 25403.
