Obituary for Anna Virginia Newkirk (Shriver)

Anna Virginia Shriver Newkirk, 81, of Hedgesville passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018.
Born December 7, 1936 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late James O. Shriver and Thelma Stuckey Shriver.
She loved to write articles for several religious publications including “Daily Bread”. She loved her children and grandchildren.
Anna loved her Lord and was a God fearing woman. She enjoyed Bible School, church services, teaching children, and she taught piano to many students throughout the years.
She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Frantz; three grandchildren, Ashley Bowman, Justin Pitzer, and Christine Frantz; three great-grandchildren, Cameron Bowman, Kenley Bowman, and Avery Pitzer; uncle and aunt, Buddy and Arlene Everhart; two nephews, Raleigh Shriver and Richie Everhart; and niece, Valerie Shriver White.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, James and John Shriver.
Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 1:30PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Turley officiating Family will receive friends from 12:30 PM to 1:30PM prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
