The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Freddie Smeltzer can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence: A quote from an unknown author says: “God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, or sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way. If God brings you to it, He will bring you through it.”

Yes, God will bring you through this with his comforting word and a future hope. For “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away.” (Revelation 21:4) God will reunite us with our dear loved ones under perfect living conditions (Isaiah 65:20-25). As the days progress, may these divine promises help you endure.

May the love of family and friends, memories of Bob and the peace of God replace any pain in your heart.

Condolence: My condolences to Kris and all those who will be missing Freddie. It's never easy to lose a parent especially if that parent has been a friend and your biggest cheerleader. The memories you'll share of Freddie with family and friends will ease the grief you feel today and give you comfort in the years ahead. I didn't know Freddie, but, having been a Marine, he was a brother in arms.
