Obituary for Charlotte Marie Mosby (Crist)
Deaconess Charlotte Marie Crist Mosby, 69, of Martinsburg passed away on Friday, January 19, 2018 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born August 14, 1948 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Samuel Hewlett Crist, Jr. and Gladyce Ora Ganetta Creamer.
She was a member of Second Christian Church of Hagerstown, MD, Inc. She had served as Superintendant of Sunday School, a Sunday School Teacher, President of the Usher Board, and a Deaconess.
She had been a substance abuse counselor with the Martinsburg VA Medical Center for 37 years. She enjoyed working with the veterans and volunteered with several outreach programs in the tri-state area.
She is survived by two sons, Charles Arthur Mosby, Jr. and Christopher Francis Mosby; four daughters, Phoebe Renee Mosby, Estina Fenee Clarke and husband John, Jewell Ann Mosby, and Kimerbly Cambell; nine grandchildren, Heather Dawn Mosby-Branson, Tyree Mosby, Brayden Butts, Elliana Marie Mosby, Johnavon Clarke, Johnaye Marie Clarke, Javiontae Ivan Clarke, Winsom Cambell, and James Boyd; one sister, Tammy Kanunaido; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Arthur Mosby; and three brothers, Samuel Crist, III, Michael Crist, and Stephen Crist.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 26, 2018 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM and 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Brown Funeral Home.
Homecoming service will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 1:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Leonard Cardwell officiating, assisted by Rev. Jacquelyn M.V. Dixon. Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery.
