Peggy M.  Brenner (Fries)
Peggy M. Brenner,88, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born March 24, 1929 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Clarence L. Marlow and Esther V. Rogers Marlow Fries. Peggy was raised by her "Mamma" Ella Myers.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church and was affiliated with Winchester Avenue Christian Church. She loved people and was involved in many community activities.
Peggy was a graduate of Martinsburg High School class of 1947. Also a graduate of Kings Daughters Hospital School of Nursing class of 1950. Employed for 20 + years in obstetrics at K.D. Hospital. She was also the office nurse for the late Dr. John H. Kilmer and Dr. William L. Haltom.
She is survived by a son, B. Craig Brenner ; chosen daughter, Mary Bruce Hensell and husband, Newton; two brothers, George Sonny Fries and Jimmy Fries; two sisters, Sue Marlowe and Linda Grubb; several nieces and nephews; and a wonderful friend, Marilyn Light.
She was a avid advocate for the Brain Illness and liked playing pinochle at the Senior Center with friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce Tommy Brenner.
The family will receive friends Friday, January 19, 2018 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home prior to the service.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 19, 2018 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
