SGT Gerald Ray "Jerry" Hummer, 70, of Inwood passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at the VA Medical Center.

Born August 7, 1947 in Leesburg, VA he is the son of the late Harry S. Hummer and Hazel Z. Hummer.

He was a Vietnam veteran of the US Army. He had been a member of the VFW Berryville and Martinsburg and the Martinsburg Moose. He owned and operated his own masonry business.

He is survived by his wife, Helen C. Plotner Hummer; daughter, Kristina "Tina" Irene Regan; step-children, Laura Thompson, Tony Resh, Chris Resh, Missey Pineda, and Amanda Resh; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two brothers, Lester L. Hummer and Kenneth L. Hummer; and one sister, Barbara A. Hummer.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Marvin S. Hummer.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 10:00AM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. Graveside service will be held at 2:00PM on Friday at Culpeper National Cemetery.
