Condolence From: George Dennis Pitzer III
Condolence: I remember Mr. Bartgis very fondly as a former student in his class at Musselman High School. I call him Mr. Bartgis because that is how we youth though about him and gave him his due respect. I remember one time we stopped by his home in Hedgesville on our way to explore a cave in that area. He was really pleased that his students visited him. Mr. Bartgis enjoyed teaching and was across the Hall from my Mom's class I think. Mom was Mrs. Annabelle Orr who taught History and English plus Journalism at Musselman. Over the years I have thought about Mr. Bartgis often and I am so sorry to hear he passed. George Pitzer.

Condolence: Bartgis Family, I am so very sorry to read about the passing of Robert, I hope that your family have been able to find comfort in the God of all comfort Jehovah. I know the pain of losing a loved one is very difficult to deal with, but Psalms 34:18 tells us... Jehovah is close to the brokenhearted; He saves those who are crushed in spirit. This scripture helps us to see that Jehovah can give us all the comfort and support we need to get through such a terrible time in our life. Isaiah 25:8 tells us; He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. The reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, For Jehovah himself has spoken it. John 5:28 Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out... I'm sure these scriptures will help you just as they have helped me and I also invite you to go to JW.ORG where you can find out more about how you can see your loved one again in a paradise right hear on earth, just like the one Adam and Eve lost due to their disobedience.

Condolence From: Bob and Kay
Condolence: We were both saddened by Bob #1's passing. Bob was happy to have had the time to be close to him at Clary Grove as I was. I was so happy when he asked me to sing How Great Thou Art with him. Bob #2 said it warmed his heart listening to us! He is in a much better place now and we keep you all in prayer as you move on in your lives. It was wonderful to see Bob (Mike) last night as he stopped in to visit Bob #2 at Clary Grove. How very sweet and we will certainly miss you all. God's Blessings and our love to you all.

Condolence: Mr. Bartgis was my homeroom teacher for all 3 years at North Junior High School. He was also my History teacher. My mother was a native of Jones Spring, so I heard many Valley stories. I was so appreciative of the time he took to share stories and 'walk' me through geography projects. He seemed to particularly enjoy teaching WV History. I'm sure there are baby boomers out there that can share my gratitude. He truly wanted kids to learn. He was a great man.

Condolence: I pray God’s love surrounds you and gives you peace. Hold tight to your memories. Mr. Bartgis was one of my very favorite teachers. He taught us about the solar system and in his teaching I played the sun. From that day on he referred to me as “Sunshine”. He was one of the very best teachers!!! RIP Mr. Bartgis!
