Obituary for Roy Benjamin Davis

Roy Benjamin Davis, 94, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.
Born June 21, 1923 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Benjamin Riley Davis and Hattie G. (McCallister) Davis.
He was a lifelong member of Otterbein United Methodist Church. He attended Forrest Hill School and was a Martinsburg High School graduate class of 1941.
A lifelong dairy farmer, he was a member of the Farm Bureau, L. Norman Dillon Farm Museum, and served as president and board member of Berkeley County Youth Fair and Camp Frame 4-H Association.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Mary Susan “Sue” (Brakeall) Davis; four daughters, Susan J. Davis, of Falling Waters, Sharon J. Timbrook and husband, Jeff, of Glengary, Sandy J. Davis, of Martinsburg, Sarah J. Puffenburger, and husband, Joe of Glengary; and two grandchildren, Briar and Huck Puffenburger and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sally Ann Davis, on December 19, 1980; brother, George D. Davis; three sisters, Liona B. Wagoner, Leona Davis, and Bernadine D. Miller. He was the last of his immediate family.
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 5, 2018 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM and 5:00PM to 7:00PM at South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Inwood, WV.
Service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 10:00AM at the South Berkeley Chapel of Brown Funeral Home in Inwood, WV with Pastor Mark Mooney officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
