Celebrate we will

Celebrate the Hard Head, It was in Arkansas near Mammoth Springs on the Spring River a place I know Dad loved. We had met his brothers that morning to fish for the week. I being a little faster at covering the water had let them know I was going to head down stream in search of big ones. The place we were fishing was an island in the middle of the Spring River that was probably about a half mile long and maybe 50 yards wide at its widest. I had walked to the end, and was working my way back when I heard some wild frantic cry's that sounded like Frank! Frank! Frank! over the sound of the rushing water which I was knee deep in. I kept fishing but the noise didn't quit, I paused looked all around and there running toward me was my Uncle Harrison making these noises, and he was yelling Frank. I climbed up the bank to meet him, and he said your Dad fell off one of those pipes up there trying to catch a fish. I asked is he ok, Harrison says it don't look good. So we run back to we're he is. We get the he is sitting on the tailgate of Harrison's truck with several people around him including Robin, and a stranger that happened to be a RN tending to Dads head. He sees me and says he is alright. I found out that 911 had already been called, and the ambulance arrived minutes after we got back to him. Harrison rode with Dad, and Robin and I headed to the hotel to pack. Robin and I emptied the room and packed the truck in record time. I was very lucky to have my Uncle Robin Hood riding with me to provide support, while riding shotgun. He said Mickey my Dad is very hard headed or has a hard head (no matter I think he meant both ways) This comforted me as we drove towards the hospital at warp speed. When we arrive at the hospital I head in to check to see what is going on. He is sitting there and says I am sorry. I asked for what, and he says for messing up the trip. He then says I bet that is the first thing you thought about "that he has done messed up the trip" and I told no that was second thing I thought about, and informed that third was how was I going to him back home so I could continue to fish. I also informed him that on the ride from the river that uncle Robin had helped me feel comforted and told me on the not worry because you are hard headed. Come to find out uncle Robin was right because after a quick visit at the ER, and six staples later we were down and away for some ibuprofen and bed rest. The later didn't happen right away the ibuprofen and bed rest had to wait till after fishing. Because once we arrived at North Fork River a couple hours after the ER visit it was game on, and he was back in the River Fishing till dark.
