Condolence: Dear Patsy and Family,
I just learned of Jim’s passing. Judy and I send our sincere condolences.
I remember a lunch at Rotary when Jim watched me chase a small tomato around my salad plate. He watched for probably a minute before he cracked up. I also was always proud when Jim would say, “I love you, Jerry Mays.” That was Jim, a man full of love and life.

Condolence: Patsy and family,
Jim was a good friend. He was honest, open, receptive and true to what he said in public and in private. A man you could trust . He was one of a kind that doesn't come along often. Thoughts of conversations at first Presbyterian Church come to my mind often. Jim was well versed in many areas and his knowledge and influence will be missed in the State as well as the county . God be with you .

Condolence: The thing about Jim was he had this great soul and huge heart. That was obvious to everyone who worked with him at the Berkeley County Commission during his tenure.
With admiration and appreciation we say goodbye to a true leader and friend; who showed us how to work to our fullest and to live a good life. You will be missed and forever loved Jim.
Prayers of comfort to Patsy and family at this very hard time.
