Onie Rush, 83, of Shepherdstown passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born July 30, 1934 in Abingdon, VA he was the son of the late Robert Lee Rush and Alice L. Norris Rush.

Onie had been the caretaker of Elmwood Cemetery.

He had a colorful sense of humor, loved working and took pride in his job. He loved his dog, J.J.

He is survived by one sister, Willie Ann Manoli and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jestine E. Greathouse Rush; two sisters, Carolyn Rush and Lucile Rush; and three brothers,Tom Rush, Ben Rush, and Carl Rush.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
