Obituary for Carl William "Bill" Hull

Carl William "Bill" Hull, 93, of Falling Waters passed away on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at the VA Medical Center.

Born November 9, 1924 in Bedington, WV he was the son of the late William Grant Hull and Lena Bryant Seckman Hull.

He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps, having served during World War II. Bill flew 35 missions over Germany, Austria and Italy. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and Purple Heart and the Air Medal with three clusters. He was an active member of Harmony United Methodist Church, serving many years as a trustee. He was also a Charter member of the Marlowe Ruritan Club.

He is survived by his wife, Iris Frances McMillan Hull; one daughter, Vicki Eileen Young and husband, Timothy of Kearneysville; one grandson, Richard T. Shockey and wife, Rachel; and two great grandchildren, Savannah Shockey and Joshua T. Shockey.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Meveral Lee Hull and one sister, Betty Louise Stilwell.

Memorial service will be held on Friday, December 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Harmony United Methodist Church with Rev. Terri Cofiell officiating. The family will receive visitors at the church one hour prior to the service Military honors will be held at the church.

In lieu of flowers family request contributions be made to Harmony United Methodist Church 9455 Williamsport Pike, Falling Waters, WV 25419.
