Obituary for Joseph Franklin Caton

Joseph F. Caton, 94, of Glengary, WV, passed away on Thursday, November 30, 2017 at the Berkeley Medical Center.

Born on January 9, 1923, in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Charles Burkhart Caton and Mary Frances Kootz Caton.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and of the Knights of Columbus.

He was a veteran of the US Navy.

He is survived by a daughter, Jackie Caton Everhart and fiance’ Steve Hansrote; three grandchildren, Joely DeHaven-Everhart and Keith Kintz, Cory Brown, Jasmine Caton; a great- granddaughter, Lakin Kintz; and one sister, Agnes Barthlow.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Rosalie Virginia Minghini Caton; a son, Jamie B. Caton, three brothers, Charles, Paul, and Robert Caton; and three sisters, Helen Brown, Julia Rimel, and Martha Delauney.

Family will receive friends on Monday, December 4, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. the South Berkeley Chapel with Pastor Dave Michaels officiating.

Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens with military honors.
