Obituary for William Edward Funk
William Edward Funk, 64, of Martinsburg, passed away Friday, December 1, 2017.
Born July 20, 1953, in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Edward Roy Funk and Janice Mae Pugh Funk.
He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, he formerly served on the VFW Honor Guard.
William loved being with family and friends, he enjoyed fishing and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Jones Funk; two sons, William Funk, Jr. and Jason Clark; six daughters, Julie Carter, Brittany Funk, Ashley Funk, Chante Cook, Chasity Funk, and Rosie Inman; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; and one brother, Mark Funk.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas Funk, a sister, Brenda Arvin, a nephew, Mark Arvin, Jr., and a niece, Tara Arvin.
Family will receive friends on Thursday, December 7, 2017 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Elder Johnny Price officiating. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Brown Funeral Home P O Box 821 Martinsburg, WV 25402 in Williams name.
