Obituary for Arlie Raymond Ruble

Arlie R. Ruble, 83, of Bunker Hill, passed away at his home under the care of family and Hospice of the Panhandle on Saturday, December 2, 2017.
Born January 18, 1934 in Bunker Hill, he was the son of the late Tull Ruble and Annie McWee Ruble.
He retired from 3M after 30 years of service.
He was hardworking, tough and always willing to help a friend or family member. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, holding the state record for an eel. Family and friends always enjoyed hearing the stories of his harvest. He was an avid farmer and adored the multi-generational family farm which was carried on by his children.
He is survived by his two sons, Arlie B. Ruble and his wife Faith, of Bunker Hill, and Laren Ruble and his wife Charmaine of Bunker Hill; two grandchildren, Jeremy Ruble and his wife Jamie of Denver, NC, and Justin Ruble and his wife Danielle of Kearneysville; two great grandchildren, Ashton Ruble and Kipton Ruble; and 3 step great grandchildren, Caleb, Cimberly and Thomas.
Arlie was the last surviving child of a generation of Rubles. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Ruble, and 5 brothers and 4 sisters: Annabelle Ring, Charles Ruble, Dolly Beasley, Ella Shanholtz, Ermagene Keeler, Eugene Ruble, James Ruble, Lawrence Ruble, and Willie Ruble.
To honor Arlieā€™s wishes, a private memorial will be held at a later date.
