Obituary for Percival "Shorty " Mike

Percival "Shorty " Mike
Percival (Shorty) Mike, 75, of Bunker Hill, was called home by his Lord and Savior on October 31, 2017 at Care Haven Nursing Home. Percival was born August 1, 1942 to the late George and Violet Mike in St Elizabeth, Jamaica.
Percival worked primarily as a skilled concrete finisher, but possessed many other trade skills. Percival was a hardworking man who endured hardships to provide for his family. He was a dedicated member and deacon at Serenity Seventh Day Adventist Church of Martinsburg. Percival was a passionate and compassionate man who had the ability to make others laugh and feel loved. Percival was a great storyteller; loading his tales with high energy, short patience, dramatizations, and laughter.

Percival is survived by his loving wife Brenda of 25 years and two daughters Roshawnda and LaToya Parker, one son Thomas Skyers, two grandchildren Kevin and Ramya Myers, two godchildren, Jamal Allen and Vanessa Brown, three brothers, Ezekiel (Chinaman) Mike, Elton Mike, and Kingsley Mike, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A special thank you to his close friend John Washington, cousin Joanne Parker, and Care Haven Center for their loving care and support.

A memorial service will be held November 24, 2017 at 11:00am at Serenity SDA Church, 25 Duke Rd, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
