Richard Allen  Williams
Richard Allen Williams, 67, of Harpers Ferry, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2017 at the VA Medical Center. Born November 22, 1949, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Carmel Williams and Mildred Marie Morris Williams.
Richard served in the Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He retired from Orgill, Inc. as a forklift operator. He loved gatherings with his family and friends, hunting, fishing, and walking the trails. He was a Civil War buff and loved to visit the local battlefields often. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 35 years, Deidre Jane Cofer Williams; three daughters: Kim Bysheim, and husband Chris, of Lusby, MD, Tobey Garner, of Cambridge, MD, and Krissy Moshier, and husband Mikal, of Harpers Ferry; eight grandchildren: Christopher, Robert, Nick, and Amanda Bysheim, Chelsey Garner, Courtney Cameron, Zane Cooper, and Avery Moshier; two great granddaughters: Kylie Bysheim and Caydence Perry; one brother, three nephews, one niece, and many extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister.
A memorial service with military honors will be held 2pm, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
