Obituary for Theresa Elizabeth "Terry" Russell (Dibb)

Theresa “Terry” Elizabeth Dibb Russell, 91 of Charles Town passed away Monday, October 16, 2017 in the Clary Grove. Born December 2, 1925 in Detroit, Michigan she was the daughter of the late John Joseph Dibb and Emma Blair Dibb. Terry was of the Catholic faith. She worked for the GM car company when she lived in Detroit. When moving to the Ranson area she worked for the Central Restaurant in Charles Town and the Victor Products Company in Hagerstown. She was a member of the WIBC, was the first woman to bowl a 300 game at the Pikeside Bowling Alley. Terry was an officer and started many bowling leagues.
She is survived by daughter, Fay Grove of Charles Town, grandchildren, Mitchell Grove and fiancé Lisa, Stephanie Hunt and husband Andrew, Matthew Russell and Trudy Russell, great grandchildren, Abigail and Clayton Hunt.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shirley “Pop” Kenneth Russell, son, John Harrison Russell and daughters, Jeanette and Burnadette Russell and son in-law, Johnny Grove.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at the Jefferson Chapel with the Deacon Dave Galvin officiating. Interment will be in the Edge Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m. today.
