Obituary for Karen Hill

Karen Hill, 68, of Kearneysville went to be with the Lord on Friday, October 13, 2017 at the Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born April 13, 1949 in Cleveland, OH she is the daughter of Helen Rose Strnad of Martinsburg and the late James John Strnad, Sr..

She was an active community member within Jefferson County for nearly forty years. Most recently she volunteered at St. Leo Catholic Church where she was also a member.

In addition to her mother, she is survived by four daughters, Lisa Hill of Woodbridge, VA, Sheri Hill of North Beach, MD, Deb Hoffman of Shippensburg, PA, and Missy Hill of Shepherdstown, WV; five grandchildren; and one brother, John W. Strnad.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Alexander Hill, Jr., and one brother, James John Strnad, Jr.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 12:00 noon at St. Leo Catholic Church with Father Alfred Obiudu celebrant. Interment prayers will be said at St. Leo Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo Catholic Church, PO Box 92, Inwood, WV 25428 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Drive, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
