Condolence: Ann and family, I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I was greatly encouraged by Steve when I became a Postmaster. He was always upbeat and able to make the work enjoyable. I know you will greatly miss him. May you be comforted by your memories and look forward to the day when you will be reunited in heaven.

I too have felt the sting of death, and although it is never easy to say goodbye to those we love, I was able to find much hope in God word the bible. 1Corinthians 15:55 "Death where is your victory? "Death where is your sting? Revelation 21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away. Condolence: Steve gave me a ride to our first class reunion at Moose Acres; he saw me walking along the road and, calling me by name, offered the ride. I was shocked that he knew who I was, bur grateful for the ride. Next time I saw him he was working at the post office in Berkeley Springs and greeted me with a smile and called me by name. Must be what they call a man who never met a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone he met. Sorry for your loss. There will be comfort found in your memories of him and your time shared together. You're in the prayers of many who knew him.

Condolence: I got to know Steve through the post office and as hard as it is sometimes Steve ALWAYS had a smile on his face. I'm sure he had a bad day here and there but I never once seen it. Such a sweetheart and he always greeted you when you ran into him anytime and anywhere. The last time I got a chance to speak with him was when I voted and he was as cheerful as usual. Condolence: There was never a dull moment when Steve and I worked at the Martinsburg Post Office. The laughter was contagious when he was around. My husband Tom played ball with him for years and always told me what a great athlete Steve was. I just know that I was blessed to have known and worked with Steve. It made life better. Condolence: There will never be another like Steve. He was such fun to work with and we shared such a love for playing softball. He always put a smile on my face whenever I was fortunate enough to run into him during a visit to Martinsburg. My deepest condolences to you Ann and the family.
