Dorothy’s (Dar’s) greatest legacy may be measured in the family and friends she leaves behind in her passing. It is a testament to her nature that she leaves so many loved ones deeply mourning this loss.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother , a true friend, confidante, and advisor.
Dar was unconditionally loving, without judgement, irreverently funny, endearingly candid, and she delighted in laughing with her loved ones. She was always quick to lend an ear, offer a laugh or a helping hand.
Dar would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it, and make things better for you if she could.
Her generosity was immeasurable, and she gave of her time and attention freely.
Her warmth and great sense of humor are interwoven into all of the memories her loved ones share of her. Those fortunate enough to have been on the journey with her were lucky indeed.
The 57-year -long love story between Dar and husband, Mike was some thing to behold, and an inspiration to all who know them.
Dar was an extraordinary human being, with a heart and spirit as big as they come. She will be remembered as the caring and kind person she was, and we will honor her memory always.
