Obituary for Cynthia Ann Gaither

Cynthia Ann Gaither, 60, of Martinsburg passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2017 at INOVA Hospital in Fairfax.

Born July 4, 1957 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Oscar William Gaither and Virginia Mae "Rusty" Sisk Gaither.

Cindy was a member of the WV Bar Association, Local Family Bar, and Relay for Life. She practiced law for 35 years. She was a 1975 graduate of Martinsburg High School and a 1982 graduate of WVU Law School.

She was a member of Berkeley Place United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Randall Ross Ballard, II; two children, Annie Ballard Cox and husband Justin of Kentucky, and Anthony Justin Cacioppo of Pennsylvania; one grandson, Everett Cox; two brothers, Thomas L. Gaither and wife, Charlene of Leetown, William C. Gaither; one sister, Regina M. Gaither both of Martinsburg; nieces, Logan Allport, Allyson Miller, and Devin Gaither; and friends, Gregg Ponn and Scott Reynolds.

Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 7:30PM at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood. Friends may gather to celebrate Cindy's life from 6:00PM until the end of the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, Relay for Life, "Team Piglet", PO Box 2149, Martinsburg, WV 25402.
