Andrew Guy Gates, Jr.,80, of Inwood, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Born November 18, 1936 in Washington, D. C., he was the son of the late Andrew Guy Gates, Sr. and Lillian Rhoda Weaver Gates.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and the owner of a nursery and garden center in Huntingtown, MD.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Boudoulas Gates; two daughters, Melissa A. Cullop and Lisa M. Gates-Smith, both of Martinsburg; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother; and one sister.

At his request, services and interment will be private.
